HOW WE OPERATE

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the multifaceted grace of God. Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking actual words of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:10-11

At Grace, we believe that Jesus Christ is the head of His church (Ephesians 1:22, Colossians 1:18) and has graciously given leaders to shepherd, equip, and care for His people. Our church follows an Elder-led model of church governance that seeks to reflect the pattern found in the New Testament.

Our Elders serve as the spiritual shepherds of the church, providing Biblical teaching, prayerful oversight, pastoral care, accountability, and protection of the church’s doctrine, mission, and overall spiritual health. The lead Pastor serves as the primary teaching Elder and leads the daily ministry of the church while remaining accountable to the collective wisdom and oversight of the Elders.

Alongside the Elders, our Directors serve in a complementary role by stewarding the church’s finances, legal responsibilities, and physical resources with integrity and transparency. These directors serve primarily at our sending church location, yet their roles provide a healthy structure of leadership, accountability, and faithful stewardship.

This shared model of leadership and oversight ensures that no single individual carries unchecked authority. Instead, our church is led by a plurality of qualified leaders who are accountable to one another, guided by Scripture and committed to serving Christ and His people with humility, wisdom and love.

In keeping with our understanding of Scripture and the historic practice of the Christian Church, we believe the office of Elder/Pastor is a role that God has uniquely entrusted to qualified men who are called to provide spiritual oversight, teaching, and shepherding within the local church. This conviction is not based on the value, gifting, or importance of women, whom we affirm as indispensable partners in the life and ministry of the church, but on our commitment to follow the Biblical pattern for the distinct roles and responsibilities God has established within His church. (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Acts 14:23, Titus 1:5, 1 Timothy 5:17)
